Fabulous Accessory Ideas for Seniors-Oviedo FL Photographer

November 17, 2015

What is the best way to make your senior photo session pop? Layers! Even though we livein sunny central Florida, there is a way to do this without melting into a puddle at your session. Instead of sweaters, coats and jackets, go for scarves, hats, and bling instead. Yes, jewelry is a great way to add pop and texture to your photos.

On a tip from one of my lovely seniors I recently visited Versona in Winter Park Village. If you haven’t been there yet, check it out. Versona is definitely the place to go to accessorize. I spoke with the store manager Tabitha, and she showed me around the store and gave me the inside scoop on the hottest trends this season. So, drum roll please… starting with jewelry, it is all about the tassel. Tassels, semi precious stones, such as topaz and opals and really cool convertible jewelry. Loved the idea of changing your necklaces and earrings by adding and removing pieces. All of this and great prices too!! Versona has everything you need to rock your senior session they even have really cute clothes too.

Also hot this season are hats, especially one with a floppy brim, fingerless gloves, and infinity scarves. I love scarves in the fall and winter to add that texture and pop of color. if you are a hat
person, lucky you! Hat’s are a wonderful way to highlight your eyes and lips they draw the attention directly to the face. Here are some ideas from H&M http://www.hm.com/us/ and Forever 21
http://www.forever21.com. Just remember it is all about enhancing you and your personality.

Oviedo FL Photographer /Julia’s Bat Mitzvah

Teen Photography | November 5, 2015

Have I told you how much I love Photographing teens? Well I do, I love, love, love it and young ladies like Julia are the reason why. I first got to know Julia when I was hired to photographer her sister Vicki’s (another beautiful and talented young woman) Bat Mitzvah, about two and half years ago. Since that time ,I have watched Julia blossom right before my eyes.

For Julia’s pre Bat Mitzvah Teen Session I met Julia and her family at Rocket Fizz Candy Store on Park Avenue in Winter Park, very cool place by the way. Candy was Julia’s theme for her Bar Mitzvah, so we had a blast taking pictures of Julia with different kinds of candy. Then it was off to Rollins College for some more pics. Now this was very hot day in May, and not a peep out of Julia. She did not complain one bit instead, she sparkled for the camera.

Fast forward to Julia’s Bat Mitzvah in October. The morning of the big day I arrived for family pictures before the service and there was Julia as calm and collected as could be. She told me she was nervous but you would never be able to tell. Julia did a great job, and was the picture of grace under pressure.

I have watched Julia grow from a shy girl into an organized, self confident, and graceful young lady. Julia is one of the few teen girls that is comfortable in her own skin, and I can’t wait to see her continueto thrive and come in to her own with the love and support of her family and friends.

Photography Business | September 18, 2015

I’m so excited my new web site if finally ready, check it out at www.traceydawkinsphotography.com. It has been a long journey five months to be exact. It all started with my friends Jamie Larson and Anna Bartell, wonderful photographers and mentors from Colorado and New Hampshire. They have inspired, encouraged and mentored me on this journey. Jamie and Anna helped me realize what I love about photography, what my photographic style is and how to turn that passion into the ultimate photo session experience for you.

One of the most exciting changes I have made to my business is the Reveal Night experience. Instead of looking at your photos for the first time in an on line gallery, now we get to celebrate the experience together. You will see your photos from your session for the first time in a slide show set to music with your family and friends there to share the
experience with you. I will be there to help you decide which pictures are perfect for you and your family to display, print, and share; and I’ll even bring a long a yummy desert.

So help me spread the word, share this blog, share my web site and best of all book your Family, Teen or Senior Session this fall mention this blog post and get 50% off your Creative Fee, which includes your session time, photo editing and photo touch ups. Prints, digitals and photo art are sold separately.
